goto http://www.bootdisk.com/ and get a dos boot disk.
The hibernate file is C:/hiberfil.sys
I forget what the dos command is to delete. i think its;
Delete C:/hiberfil.sys
I just tried using hibernation on my epia m10000 in WinXP. Now I can't boot back up. I get an error. I tried using the system recovery on the Windows XP disk. I ran the fixboot and now it says I am missing a file and it still won't boot.
I can get to the command prompt in dos. Is there any way to delete the hibernate info so the system will boot as normal? If not looks like I am reinstalling some software.
Thanks

If it's stuck, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway
I format my machines once every other month or so as well. But formatting because it will not get back out of sleeping is a little harsh.Originally Posted by mhermann

j/k I know your pain. There are times when formatting is quicker and easier. I am a system and network specialist. When I am really really busy and someone came to me with a crashed computer and if they have backup data, I often just wipe out the HDD and put a new image back on the system. Easier fix than try to figure out what he/she did to cause the crash. That way they would not get into trouble for installing things they should not install as well.

Yeah, I didn't want to waste the time figuring out the problem. I forget the actual error I will let you know if I get it again. Thanks for the help.
