    IN XP, how do I get rif of the welsome screen where i have to click on my name/ and the manual login screen (I know you can toggle) I just want it to remember my password (none) or something

    ok i just tried it, I added those as strings under the winlogin folder. is this right? and what if I have no password, i just usually press ok?

    got it

    start - run - control userpasswords2 - uncheck first box - apply - type name and password of user to auto login - restart

    edit: this works in normal restart, but not in hibernate. why?????? it has to be a simple registry string or something? any ideas?

    Right-click on desktop, Properties, Screen Saver, Power, Advanced, uncheck "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby"
