New install this weekend...Which OS should I load?

I have a epia m10000, 512meg, 80gig, opus 90w.

I plan on using winamp or media engine. Also plan to hibrinate PC (never shutting down).

I am wondering which windows OS to use...win2000, XP, etc???

I am using WinXP, with MediaEngine

With no optomisations (disabling useless services, bootvis etc) I can boot from cold and be playing music in about 45 seconds. I reckon if I can change the source for ME to Hibernate rather than shutdown (gotta be simple, just gotta find out how!) then that should knock down to about 30 secs, I hope

XP is stable. ME is quicker to load from cold boot. XP for the sake of stable OS.

Xp, with hibernation <10s boot time, and no need to power it when not used

2000lite on a 10k rpm sata hd. Used bootvis, disabled services, and cleaned up reg for a 3 second boot from hibernation. Also upgrade bios which fixed a boot lag that is popular on via mobos
