    Hi Gork,
I wanted to let you know. I got the MB back in my dell anb reloaded the OS. Your program went in right after the XM PCR and it is working great. Love the presets and no lockups whatsoever. Let us all know when you come up with some new ideas....Thanks very much for the program

    Gork,
Can you integrate a 'favorites' list in your XMPCR-car software? The buttons on the bottom are great but a favorites list would be great also so I don't have to sort through 170 channels for my favorite channels (other than the 10 push button presets)

    Also,
I just ordered the Toslink converter and was curious how the converter board works. Does it take analog audio from the XM into a ADC and out the Toslink or does it take audio from the XM digitally?

    Hi Gork!,

Still loving your software...is there anyway I can increase the size of the scroll slider. It's a little difficult to get to it without a stylus. I want to use my bare mits as much as possible! I run my display at 640 X 480 BTW....

    Gork,

Another vote for the favorites request: Looking for a favorite list of channels.

I'd like to be able to see what is on my other preferred channels without having to scroll down.

    EBJUSTION, dhowse:

The final version of the software will have a special screen for the presets that will show you an overview of what is playing on your favorites. You will have the 10 'primary' favorites, then perhaps 2 or three 'alternates' lists of 10 more stations each..

    chut:

The scrollbar obeys the standard windows scrollbar width.. I have my scrollbars set pretty big in my windows preferences... In XP this is under display properties -> Appearance -> Advanced -> Scrollbar.. It is easy to scroll with your finger.. Again, this hopefully will not be a problem in the real release of this software..

    Everyone:

It will be a while before this is out, due to my busy holidays schedule coming up and my being out of town a whole lot the next couple of months, but the wait will really be worth it (i hope!)

    All,
I just purchased the Blitzsafe XM micro antenna from xmfanstore.com and I must say it works great. I just took a 500 mile each way road trip using the bundled XMPCR antenna (facing south) one way and I installed the Blitzsafe on the way back. The Blitzsafe almost never lost the signal and the stock antenna lost the signal all the time. I'll use the stock antenna in my house where it seems to work fine.

Yep, the antenna that comes with the PCR is the standard Delphi Home/Directional antenna. Is only has a 40° degree field of "view" in front of it. Not the best for mobile situations. Great for stationary use though.

Car antennas such as the Blitzsafe have a nearly 360° field of "view" which makes them much better for car use. Though it may not be as sensitive to the signal as the home antenna is. The larger field of view compensates for this.

yes this is the antenna that I use also. I have it roof-mounted and it works great. It did not seem to work any better than the stock antenna sitting on the decklid; however I live fairly far south, so the satellites are pretty high up in the sky for me anyway .. the wider apeture does not affect my reception too much; but the tint on my windows sure does!
