Question DirectX filter on all audio streams?

Is there any way to apply a DirectX audio filter (or multiple filters) to all audio streams going to the soundcard?

I'm planning on having multiple audio sources, and I'd like to have the same filter applied on all of them, including sounds produced by windows and other programs that don't natively support DirectX filters.

Ever heard of SVC? It stands for Software Voice Changer. I bought it a few months ago for a halloween project. The software filters ALL sounds from any program at any time in full duplex. However, I can't figure out how they did it. I too am trying to figure this out for my own reasons. However, it might be possible to tap into the mixer from C++ or VB. I'm working on that. But so far no luck. If you tap into the mixer, you can have all sound run through your software.

MorphVOX is the best software that does that. IT works with any software like "skype" etc

U can patch up your sound card drivers.

For example I'm gonna try to make a plug in that will allow to switch between soundcard's 3D EQ presets in SD.

U can also use any software that mixes inputs/outputs ..
