Using the free eclipse software (http://www.taylormacintosh.com/ in programes) which toggles the brightness down to 40% or somthing is it possible to write something that would allow this to be activated by a key shortcut?
Even better than that. I've figured out how to do program gamma ramps (basically what that software is doing). I intend to add the functionality such that you can have the day/night button either switch skins, or apply a configurable darker gamma ramp.

I'll not add an extra button so as to minimize changes to peoples skins. Basically you'll be able to choose whether you want the button to darken, or swap the skins.

The d-link is a venture not worth taking. I have tried it out, and realized it is just an empty thought. Dont believe read the other posts on it. Just one more thing to complicate your computer with something that doesnt work in the car. It hardly worked in my apartment.

I have a DLink. I do not use it as I have a good head unit but I found it to be an excelleny piece of kit when connected to my car ariel, the one that comes with is adequate.

I used Radiator in my first car pc install but it was too fiddly hence ditching it from all other installs. Apart from that personally I feel its a good pieceof kit.

yeah have not made my mind up about it yet. Although it dumps my home pc into blue screen and so havent been able to use it yet!!! so its not looking good!

Considering a DAB card you you have DAB in US? I assume you do does anyone use these? There are a few available for PCs now. The idea of having digital with images and text seems really good and its either there or not.

Not found much disscussion on here yet, maybe i should start a new thread. getting bit off topc sry.....

    CarBox 0.6!

    All

CarBox 0.6 is now released! New features include: -

    - Gamma correction option. This will let you dim the screen for night mode.
    - Embedded applications. You can now embed up to 9 applications (plus a GPS application) within CarBox. Example uses include NetStumbler (for WarDriving), MS Paint (scribble notes whilst on phone), WebCam applications etc. CarBox keeps track of applications you launch, so you can switch back to an application you have already started, or re-launch if you close or crash any applications.

Available for download at the usual place.

Sorry all, found a little bug in 0.6, so 0.6.1 is now available for download.

If you've already downloaded 0.6 and don't want to download the whole of 0.6.1, you can get just the .exe update here.

If you have an earlier version, please download the full package from the website.

    Thanks,
