Thread: CarBox - First Test Release

The Skinner application, and the SpaceSkin have now also been updated to be CarBox 0.7 compatible. Available for download from the usual place.

Everytime I click on new playlist I get file not found error and crashes. However, after restart I do get a new playlist. Any help would be appreciated.

You are pressing that after highlighting a media file, or a directory with media in aren't you? That's the sort of message I'd expect to get when not selecting anything.

The "new list" button means "create this wot i just selected as a new list" and not "create a blank list wot i can start adding stuff to".

Whilst I'm on here I'll mention that version 0.7.1 has just been release. Whilst there's no functionality differences, there is a small fix that solves a skinning problem.

This is what is going on. I am playing a playlist with bunch of songs in it. Then lets say I wanted to create a new one so I go to the selector controls (in there the first choice by default is album view). If I click on the new list then i get the error. But if I select a song and then press new song then that song gets added to the playlist and I automatically go back to the main screen.

no no no no no no no! you're still doing it wrong!

you are clicking on "new list" expecting it to blank the list for you to then add files, this is NOT how it works. as i said, you click on "new list" and that adds "whatever you've selected" as a new list.

what you're doing is clicking on "new list" when you have "album view" selected. Since "album view" is an option, and not actually a selection of files, you can't add it as a new playlist!

selecting "add" adds the currently selected file or directory to the current playlist, selecting "new list" creates the currently selected file or directory as a new playlist.

I'm trying to find out how long my Todger is...
As far as I can tell I can make playlists about 27 inches long, but I think I may be measuring the wrong thing.
