Hi Mr GingerPrince,
Like the Keyboard, but would it be hard to put this one in aswell/Instead.
Would like to do a skin to match this keyboard....I think it looks Cool...![]()

It's a simple recursive search through the directory tree. I don't really like the idea of having to recreate a database every time I change my MP3 collection, etc, but that's just a personal preference.Originally Posted by PTCruiser
And besides, when testing I ran a search against my 6000 MP3 collection over wireless LAN on my home PC, and searches were only 3 seconds or so, so I think it's probably efficient enough to warrant not needing a database.

Hey, Its looking good.
However The visulizations aren't working, in the music player screen, it is just black, and when i click on it, it opens up a full screen visulisation (that does actually work).
there are no properties (when right clicking full screen) to sdjust the visulizations either. Any ideas?

There should be no problem using that. The only thing to note is that at the moment the keyboard only supports the keys 0-9, A-Z, space, return, backspace and cancel. Though I will probably add punctuation buttons later.Originally Posted by CivicDisturbanc
All you'll need to do is basically : -
Replace keyboard.jpg with your skin, and create an appropriate pressed skin (can be the same if you don't mind it not 'clicking').
Then in the skin.ini, change the settings in the [Keyboard] section to tell it the size of your keyboard picture, and the location of all the keys.
If you don't want to work out the location of all the keys, then if you wait a few days I'm working on a full skin editor which should let you graphically define all the hotspots.

Unfortunately you cannot adjust the visualisations within. The Windows Media Player SDK provides no hooks to select or change the visualisations externally to Windows Media Player. The only way is to choose the one you want within Media Player, and it will use that. Naff I know, but that's MicrosoftOriginally Posted by Kirby

As for not seeing your vis, I've never seen those symptoms before. What vis do you have selected? Can you view videos in the small window or are they full-screen only?

Well,
for some reason, i changed the visulisation and then it started working.
Although i cant say i like WMP9 visualisations much, they arent as nice as the winamp, but i did manage to find one that was a port from winamp and looks rather good....TwistedPixel.
All i need now is a equaliser so i can adjust the output.
I havent brought it yet, but does anyone know if the EPIA sound outputs allow equalization of each output?

Images for both Normal & Selected, I have also made a 'Night Skin' set as well with a blue tint to mellow the bright keyboard at night if anyone want's those as well.
Normal
Selected Keys
The little cross at the top Right of the keyboard is the cancel button BTW. The typed text appears in the blank space above the keys and is set to black, bold text.
Hope it's okay to do this Mr Gingerprice and hope someone wants to use it....![]()

Being a total Novice at this, how do I get the symbols etc to work ??? I will then add these. Not sure what symbols (' - @ #) and so on I can use...Any suggestions !!!
BTW For those that asked about the colors and so on, the 3 sets of digits represent RGB Colors....thats how I worked it out to change the color of Typed text anyways.

No problem, it's a nice keyboard, just a little too Mac'y for me
I have now release a Skinning application (See other thread) to make this easier in future.
Regards the symbols, you won't be able to do that within the skin. I have to code my software to create extra buttons. I will do this in a later release.
