    Bulk ID3 tag editing

So I have 8.5 thousand mp3 files that I need to clean up the id3 tags on, and catagorize by genre, artist, and album. Currently its sorted reasonably well by artist and album in directories.

What programs do people use to batch edit ID3 tags and organize their collections.

Ultimately I would like to have my music sorted like this.

    C:\mp3\genre\artist\album\

    Suggestions?

I'd like to know the same thing. I had a program that did this but I don't remember the name. I didn't work very well though (or at all for that matter).

    Tag & Rename!

The best program there is, and I know a lot of members can back me up on this one.

I use Music Match 8 Pro to get my tags, and rename files and ****, and I manually stick the files into dirs and whatnot.

I'll give anyother hit for tag & rename. Easy to use, powerfull, feature rich, one of the biggest time savers ever.

Just to give an alterative to Tag and Rename, which I use myself, I have also tried Abander TagControl. It has a lot of the features in T&R but it also has a Cover image extractor to put the Cover image in the directory with your albums. This saved me a lot of time.
