    Ive been using the rmx download to control a remote for a while I had problems getting it to work at first it was a trail and error thing. Are you trying to use girder?

    One of my reviewers is doing a review on the remote and he was having problems also. He said something about needing the winLirc plugins...

    He also said that the remote is not very good... I will post a link once he is done w/ the review.. and i remember

    Well I am using Girder.nl with winamp2. And there is a beta for winamp5 that also works with my remote and girder...

    I think also there are some plugins at Girder.nl for winamp3.

    For girder, as long as you have the input plugin, you can make your own groups with any software you want, bind a button to an action that sends winamp a key (for example, the stop button can be set to the keyboard shortcut for stop).

    True, but half the people here are too lazy to do that themselves

    Me included...

    Thats a shame :{ Girder has so much potiential. For example, anyone who plays any MMORPG knows you pay to do mindless grinding. I got suckered into starwars:galaxies for 2 months (total of ~65$ investment, regrets.), which often required manual inputs to do things. Spend a few minutes rigging up a group, and what would take someone a week to do, i did in 1 night automated. Be one with the girder and it will take you far :}

    winLIRC is the best way to go for remote winamp because it has a plugin for it reciever is under $15 (radioshack) A transmitter can be made too too 1 remote to pump the volume on your head unit (IR remote required) and pump the volume in winamp up at the same time! great concept

    The winLIRC is a computer remote and it works of IR. I rather have a RF remote because you don't have to worry about locateing the eye on the dash of your car. Is there a pluggin that would allow the ATI remote to work with winamp 3x?
