I like it better than mp3, I am in the process of reencoding all my cds to 192 aac with itunes. Sounds everybit as good as cd to my ears unlike 192 mp3. There codec is written by the some of the same people that wrote the mp3 codec and they state it is superior to mp3 in every way possible except in acceptance due to its optional support for DRM.

I like the AAC format myself... i use 64kb/s AAC's on my mobile phone and they sound great (as long as you encode with the high-efficiency option)- I'm even thinking about using 'em in the car aswell, as I would be able to fit many more tunes in the car then, and even transfer tunes from my car to my phone when out the house.

I havent tried iTunes yet, this may seem pretty ignorant, but I don't know what it is, or what the fuss is all about. I know it's by Apple tho, who I'm not a great fan of.

I downloaded Itunes after a mate said it rocked, and yes I can confirm it does, very clean and chrisp looking, radio sounds amazing, and the playlist editor is great, time to intergrate this into some carpc software
