control car via pc

is there any (relatively simple) way to control some things in the car with a pc. such as the a/c or radio/cd. How about lock/unlock etc.. I just thought it would be more convenient that way to have all the controls on one touch screen.

Yes if you have ODBII or Ibus on the car. Otherwise, you have to use relays.

I thought OBDII is only connected to engine ECU

Nope ODBII also have connections to your door, window control etc as well. So you can unlock/lock your door. Bring your windows up and down as well. You just have to send out the right signal.

Hmm ok thanks...I guess I didnt see the parts where it say you can control alot of car electronics through OBDII. I dont have one thats probably why I never bother to look deeper into it.
