That's not a bad idea
Hi
I have been toying with the idea to a simple app that could be launced from any frontend. The only functions would be to keep track of when and where you are driving, and write it to a logfile. I drive alot for business, and its sometimes a ***** to remember where you have been 2 months ago. I clock in when i start the car, and out when im home.
Design ideas are something like this:
1. Start time (if gps is available, stamp coordinates too, or ask "startplace")
2. Stop time
3. refueling (how much gas, and mileage(price))
4. expenses (company pays for meals during workhours)
5. Notes for the day
6. Reporting and statistics (or easy-to-read logfile)
7. you tell me![]()
Toss in ideas, and lets see what we can think of. I would prefer a simple 2-3 buttons application that can be skinned like the frontend.

My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.
I'm a lesbian too.
I am for hire!
I am using a third party software for that currently. I think I can find a way to code it as a module though.
I am using a software called: Personal Vehicle Manager

If it's stuck, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway
I think most GPS software offers a logging function that will store time-stamped positions as you drive. At least I know that Street Atlas can do this. You can also play back these log files at up to 50x realtime. I don't know about adding trip notes, etc.
