CarNavSys's software will work on selected nokia cellphone with the right adaptor. Since every cellphone operate on their own handshake code with the computer's com port, to make a general software for all cellphones is going to be pretty difficult if not impossiable. I know Motorola and Ericsson phones have different way to connect to the com port. I used to work for motorola and I have a couple of Ericsson phones.

What's the difference then?

The difference is that you will need to write a different communication model for every phone. That's too much time wasted in my case and why would I want to write a code for a phone I don't have?

yeah but if you have a device that worked on bluetooth ther must be standard for that.

You are dreaming right? ALthough bluetooth is supposed to be standard, you will be surprised at the codes from every bluetooth device. I thought they were standard at one time.

It's harder than you think.

Errr... looking at their site last night ( I've had info on my own for some time about this ) they have released v2.. this now works with all Sony E phones... plus lots more.

Shame it cost so much.
