Some software I'd like to make

Implement a button on my dash, whenever a song comes on that I hate, I press the button and it moves to the next song and deletes it. That way with my huge mp3 collection I can eventually get to a point where all I have are songs that I like. Who has time to sift through thousands of songs looking for the good ones? This way you do it as you run into them.

Im imagining its the same reason theres songs you hate on the cds you buy as well.

Heh, am I the only one here who downloads gigs of mp3's at a time? Jesus I'd have to hire 24/7 QA lab just to screen each mp3.

A buddy of mine is working on a player that will actively change it's shuffling priority based on the amount of times a song is played. If a song is skipped before 10 seconds of it is played, the song's ranking falls down, and it is less likely to be hit on the next go-round. If it is played more, it will hit more.

It sounds like a really neat concept, although personally, I don't think I would use it because what I want to hear today, might not be what I'm in the mood for tomrrow. It depends largely on how well work went!
