I use DVDx . Works great and it's freeware.
Hey Thanks SHCHUA, I also tried http://www.dvdtodivx.net/index.htm Super DVD Ripper, pretty simple and works great.
I've encoded Piles of DVD's and I reccomend Gordian Knot for all your Divx needs. It makes the best rips of anything else out there. There's a learning curve involved though.
I have seen that they're making a 1 click interface for it now, but I don't know how well it works.

I have had the best luck using dvd2avi, avisynth and VirtualDub.
There is a learning curve there as well though, so user beware.

Dr DivX. It just works so simply and easily and the results are great. You can't be cheap when it comes to DVD ripping - spend some money.
