    Getting Rid Of Search function under the start menu

    Trying to get rid of the search part under the start menu, have got rid of everything else, anyone know how to do this?

    have a lok at the group policy editor (type gpedit.msc under run). have a look under the administrative template - start menu...
    We are, will have and forever will be...

    Do a "properties" on the Start bar> Select the Start Menu Tab> Click the Customize button> Click the Advanced Tab> Under Start Menu Items scroll down and uncheck the search box> "ok" out and it will be gone.

    This worked a treat Thanks!!!! Now I only have programs in my start menu :-D Looks a whole lot beter!!!!
