emulate power button in windows?

I use TweakXP Pro, http://www.totalidea.com/frameset-products.htm. It's not free but it does put three icons on you desktop for Shutdown, Hibernate and restart. Not to mention 100's of other tweaks that are quite helpfull.

I needed it to add a hibernate button to myHTPC.

I use myHTPC for my house and I just point a button to : c:\windows\system32\shutdown /h
