    0-60/horsepower

Is there sometype of software that can read a car's 0-60 and horsepower?

I don't think anything can read either of those.. the 0-60 could be calculated with some other components, and the horsepower might be able to be calculated.. but it is pretty impossible to get readings from your computer about that kind of stuff.. because it doesn't know them.

You can get an accelerometer...the ADXL202 is a dual axis g meter sensor up to +-2g's.

Can measure your acceleration, braking and cornering g's. Ive got one installed in my carputer

Of course you can also measure your BHP by putting the weight, rolling resistance of your car in the the calculation

Cool. It's for a friend. How do you have that interfaced, what software, etc? Any info would be great. Thanks!

    Nono...

Its just a board with a g sensor that connect to the serial port of your PC. The software then plots the g's you are pulling in all 4 directions.

The board is an evaluations and I dont have the time to write my own apps to plot and calculate all those figures. It come with a basic software to show you what it can do.

Theres are some product you can buy but its not for car PC...its a standalone unit with LED/LCD display.

for HP really the closest thing your goin to get and be accurate is a dyno and those are a ****loads of cash and they take up alot of room. Now as for having something installed on your ride is pretty much impossible due to your tire to surface changes and your incline/decline changes. Also you will only get the hp for the gear your are in at that moment. you would never get an overall hp reading because you would never run through all the gears.

Heres one - for WRX only, uses ECU to provide speed info. Better than an dnyo because it gives you real world info - while you are actually doing 0 - 60. Not sure if similar products would be available for your Audi.

Yup, they never gonna be accurate. Even the RR wont give you the true figures of your engine power...unless you go for engine dyno test. With 0-60 you need to set up proper quipment anyway.

But I guess the idea of the accelerometer is to get an idea how much you have now and how much you have after the mods rather than 100% accurate reading of the car performance.
