If we use the "Handles and WithEvents" method, I beleive it would work with VB6. I'll hack one up here too.

    I'll keep trying as well

So this open source project is written in ??? VB ??
And how easily are people able to write "plug-in" modules to this?
Personally I'd like to play around with the interface Images, if you want I can try and make it feel more XP'ish... round and Gel - Like...

Give me the ring frodo !!

Since I redid the skin interface, I have to finish the skinner, and then I'll let you do a proper one, but if you want to, just follow the above example and have all those elements, a down image, and an up image for the button backgrounds, and have space for the slider, wmp, the two lists and the time/date/volume/mode labels

So I created a vb module, which has two public functions,

InitializePowerModeChange <-- This needs to eventually take an "AddressOf" function pointer passed in by your project for handling power mode event changes

DeInitializePowerModeChange < -- Destroys hidden window, deregisteres winproc

I create a window using CreateWindowEx, so that I can override its winproc with my callback specific in the vb module, thus intercept power mode standby/resume messages. I can register the winproc callback, but VB 6.0 crashes every time I attempt to send the newly created window a message, or when it called DeInitializePowerModeChange. I updated it to SP5 of VB, but see if you can run it in your debugger with a break point on the winproc to see if it crashes your development studio to.

    I found these pages useful:
    http://www.codeproject.com/vbscript/vb6ipc.asp
    http://www.vbaccelerator.com/home/VB...BarMod_bas.asp
    http://www.mvps.org/vbnet/index.html...ttoncolour.htm

Got any tips? VB 6.0 project attached.
