In case anyone would like to know, that is the "mini-mode" of the Frodoplayer.
For use when you launch external apps and such. Allowing you to always have
    access to your music.

Well, I am proud to say that I was priveleged enough to be able to take a sneaky peak at the first working test version of this app.

Frodo my man, you have quite obviously put a TON of thought into this thing!

The interface looks really smooth and simple, and was pretty intuitive. Even without some basic step-by-step instructions to get it started and configured, a couple of random clicks led me down the right path to configured-ness. The audio playback was smooth and fast, and even with the visualization running, only took up about 20% processor resources. On my system, that's a nice place to be! Included in the mp3 playback area were a couple of controls that let me sort my music according to artist and genre, as well as by type (music/video). That's all on top of the mode that allows for directory browsing! The player also has a compact mode (which you see in the above screenshot), that allows the user to see what's doing on the desktop.

I don't know if I should give away too much about it yet, as I'm pretty sure Frodo owns weaponry of some sort, but suffice it to say that if it keeps coming along as it has so far, this is going to be one hell of a sweet program! He's thought about things that I hadn't even considered for my own interface, and now it would seem almost sacrilegous of me to attempt to replicate them. By the way, the verbal feedback during control of the program was a nice touch. The way it's set up, one will never have to watch the screen to make sure they hit the right button.

It's skinnable, it's flexible, it's powerful. What more can I say about it?! Damned good job so far Frodo! I can't wait to see what your final release version looks like!

    Beautiful menu icons!

Hey, about the keyboard: Have you considered using image boxes instead of transparent labels? That way you could have animated keyboard buttons like I do in my setup. It adds a little bit of code for the animation, but it makes the interface that much more appealing! Just a thought...
