copilot users: your software solution?

i really like copilot and find it to be top notch for in car navigation compared to the competition
problem is its difficult to coordinate its use with other programs
i cant get medai engine to work with it and on its own, it goes to always on top mode where no other program can be seen

all im really concerned about is music and gps
if i could get winamp to pop up over copilot i could probably get something to work

im rather dissapointed with media engine 2
i know everyone here worships it like a god but it just doesnt seem that great. harder to navigate than it should be and no gps support (at least that i can find)
i much prefer mediacar; that ones pretty kickass
unfortunately when copilot is set as the gps program it just opens up and covers everything (at least it runs though unlike in me where it gives me a runtime error)

here's what i do at the moment
i use mediacar, set the skin size so my taskbar is visible.
set in the copilot options - show windows taskbar
added a quicklaunch icon for copilot
when i'm in mediacar, i can just push the quicklaunch icon for copilot, and it starts up, then i can use the taskbar to switch between the two.

When I release the Frodoplayer, the minimode will sit on top of copilot.

i cant find it anywhere

which option? the show taskbar? what version of copilot you running? I got 2003

you have to go into planning mode

yep.. that's also where you turn on the on screen keyboard that i didn't notice for over a year

Gotta love that show taskbar option. The update for CP2k3 somehow made the "show taskbar" option defective. I still couldnt figure out how to get it to work. I'm running the CP2k3 without the update. I cant stand the trail on the updated version.
