come on now, anyone, Bueller
I had one of those clarion autopc's and the one thing I miss most about it is that when a turn came up or the gps system made an announcement, the MP3 player or radio would mute. THis was great and allowed me to actually clearly understand the announcement.
There must be a way to do this with a carpc.
ANY IDEAS...![]()
This would be a great implimentation in to Media Engine or Media Car.
iGuidance does this, although it's just a slight attenuation in the mp3 playing. But it does help hear the voice prompts.

You don't. That's my complaint. It's just a very slight attenuation of the playing mp3. It's not quite enough for my taste. I'm going to ask them to make the attenuation user configurable. But it is a nice feature.

Routis help says that the volume control is independent of the mixer settings, so just set the wav output at a set amount below the max, and then routis will be able to be heard over whatever you are playing. Haven't tried it out yet, battery died last night after accidentally leaving everything on (whole setup draws 3.3amps, charger which was hooked up only supplies 2.3amps... so that 1 amp dissappeared from the batteries)
Quote from help file (iGuidance seems to be the same in most respects as routis)
To Adjust the Guidance Volume Setting
(i) Information - The Guidance Volume is independent of the mixer volume. You may, for example, playback an .MP3 file at certain volume level setting and hear the guidance prompts at a different level setting.
