Also, the whole 'embedded images in the MP3' thing has really evolved since. If you had a guide telling you how to do it, would you consider it? I haven't had a chance to try the software yet, but I'm worried that MediaEngine won't know how to show the JPG for the album, while I know that it can show the embedded pics.

guino, give me an example of the text info. I work off of amazon.com so not sure if they give that info or not

Chairboy, if i had some good documentation on it i'd consider it. I just have yet to find any.

Here's an example of album info from buy.com.

    Album Notes
Evanescence: Amy Lee (vocals); Terry Balsamo, Johnny LeCompt (guitar); William Boyd (bass guitar); Rocky Gray (drums).
In 2003, Evanescence scored a surprise hit with FALLEN by combining an intensely heavy, nu-metal sound with old-school goth visual/lyrical elements, and the quasi-operatic vocals of lead singer Amy Lee. The CD/DVD set ANYWHERE BUT HOME documents the band's non-stop touring schedule with in-concert takes on nine of FALLEN's 10 songs. In addition, the release includes a soaring, piano-based cover of Korn's 2002 hit "Thoughtless," and "Missing," a newly recorded studio effort that features moody vocals, dance beats, and a glockenspiel! Most tracks stick fairly close to their studio counterparts, but benefit from the added bombast, drama, and crowd interaction that a live recording affords. Of course, as on Evanescence's debut, the main attraction is Lee's voice, which is in fine form here--the singer belts out every word to the wildly enthusiastic Paris, France crowd with a mix of alt-rock melancholy and hard-rock power.

sorry for the delay.. i've been hammered at work..

I'm re-writing this.. the python amazon code is just too out of date and its busted. I'm doing it in C++ using QT as my widget set.

Right now i just have it setup to work like "Artist - album" I see about a 500% speed increase in quering amazon using my library.

I hope to get something out within a week.. depending how nice the weather is.

Here is an example of the editoral review i can pull ..

Essentially a live showcase for their mega-selling breakthrough <I>Fallen</I>, this CD/DVD combo set chronicles Evanescence in peak form during a subsequent tour stop in Paris. The performances here lean early on the crunch of guitarists John Lecompt and Terry Balsamo (reaching a peak on the the band's potent cover of Korn's "Thoughtless"), but ultimately revolve around the melodramatic, goth-rooted vocal charisma of singer Amy Lee. It's on stripped-down, yet still larger-than-life takes of "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal," as well as the shadowy grace of "Breathe No More," that Lee stakes her claim to the alt.diva throne. Taken as a whole, the forceful renditions here argue that this live recording was hardly premature, instead well documenting the band's more direct musical tack and considerable live chops. The CD contains the appropriately named, previously unreleased studio track "Missing," while the DVD supplements its crisply shot and edited concert performances with four videos and an hour of documentary footage and interviews. <I>--Jerry McCulley</I>

Evanescence’s "Anywhere But Home", captures one night of the magic as cameras entered The Zenith in Paris to capture the phenomenon. The two-disc DVD/CD features Evanescence’s sold-out European tour and is offered in both 5.1 and two-track audio mixes. In addition to the live concert DVD, which was directed by Hamish Hamilton (U2, Peter Gabriel), "Anywhere But Home" also includes a CD of the concert presented in a two-track mix, and the previously unreleased studio recording of the composition "Missing." The DVD features the band's four music videos, an hour-long behind-the-scenes program, and some special surprises in addition to the concert film. The special surprises will be discovered by the viewer as they navigate the menus designed exclusively for this special release.
