Right, the ONLY codecs you need. Uninstall the others, or preferably, start with a clean OS, as your current one will be ****ed with all the other crap you've installed.

But out of curiosity which packages/combinations do you recommend to install, to eliminate the garbage files and extra codecs that are useless and will only slow down the computer. I need the basic package for DivX, XViD, mpgX, mp3 (duh :P).

Use Gspot to find which codecs are needed for your files and Dxman to see what's actually on your pc.

Ah nice, ffdshow seems to cover all my needs

What about via video drivers, any tweaked ones available out there? I'm scared to install this 68mb beast on my computer lol :P
