    Palm OS ROM?

    Anyone who has a Palm care to send me their ROM? lol.. I seem to have broken my cradle this morning when trying to do it, and it won't "connect" anymore.. :-/

    If anyone can, that'd be great..

    I have a Palm V.

    What do you mean by ROM? I'm not unsoldering the chips from the inside for you (I only just closed it up after replacing its battery), and I don't have the PalmOs 3 install anymore - I updated then deleted many years ago.
    Old Systems retired due to new car
    New system at design/prototype stage on BeagleBoard.

    If you connect to the Palm,. u have an option to "download the rom".. That's what I need.. just a file.

    Not with mine there isn't. Running a PalmV with PalmOs 3.3, a serial cradle and Palm Desktop 3.0.1 on the PC.

    Only way to connect to the Palm is with HotSync, and that just synchronises applications and data, can't see anything about a ROM. The Palm Os 3.3 update I did ages ago was a separate program that I no longer have.

    If you are unable to connect to your Palm anymore, how are you planning on getting the "ROM file" onto your Palm?

    I just need the ROM file so I can emulate it a Palm w/ POSE( a development enviroment for Palm programmers ) http://www.palmos.com/dev/tools/emulator/

    and http://romeo.sourceforge.net/ is a pretty good resource for how to get the rom off, etc..

    You can get ROM images if you sign up for the development program, or so it says on your linked page : http://www.palmos.com/dev/tools/emulator/
