Now your talking AI
Hey guys, i use Dragon naturally speaking, is there a way to make it really interactive easily. This is just me wanting to be totally geeky, For instance:
Me: Car, we have a new passenger.
Car: Oh, what is their name?
Me: John Doe
Car: Hello, John Doe, it is nice to meet you.
OR
Car: Welcome back John Doe, how have you been.
and possibly keep a log of people it has met (cause i know DNS has like a macro modething), and stuff like that idk ive always wanted something human like like that. HEHE call me crazy....
maybe if i learn the nitty gritty stuff on programming certain voice attributes (i have a few sources), ill work on a AI program...unless one exists of course

I have seen some home automation projects that can work somewhat like you are talking. From what I have seen you still have to program in the variables , such as name and the text you want it to say. I have yet to see any intellegence with these functions though.Originally Posted by supralightning

You would have to program in the strings of commands prior to her entering the car.
You : Hello Computer , I have Jill with us
< Computer already has that set to start a series of strings >
Computer: Hello Jill
Jill : uhh.. Hello
Computer: I hear it is your birthday , well happy birthday <plays b-day song>
as with the above example it is all on how you program it and there is 0% intellegence on the computers end.
Hope that helps somewhat,
