ALEXIS software devel halted (last time hopefully)

Well, as it is frequently wont to do, life has gone on, and dropped a nice juicy opportunity in my lap. Unfortunately, a good deal of work is involved with this thing, since it entails me, a hardcore Windows junkie to learn Unix well enough to create and maintain a super-secure mailserver.

Since the benefits of this position are far too good for me to pass on, I have halted development on ALEXIS for the time being (learning a new OS isn't the easiest thing in the world, you know), and will resume once things are settled in once more.

At the moment, I'm approaching a brainburn just attempting to adjust my mindset to an entirely different filesystem concept, not to mention the crazy archaic truncated commandset (most UNIX commands haven't changed since the day when commands weren't allowed to exceed 8 characters, so many are cryptic as all hell).

Anyhow, just wanted to post up and let those who are interested in the project know what's going on. Rest assured that the new job will allow me to not only continue the project at an accelerated pace, but will also provide some nice excess capital (read: phat cash) to make it even better than was originally envisioned!

Thanks for all of your support so far, and I look forward to jumping back into the crazy fray very soon!

BTW Frodo, this is also why I haven't been available in IM very much lately, but again, that will change once I start getting the hang of this thang.

Aww cmon Frodo ol' buddy ol' pal! Who else would know that you would rather recieve CDs in the mail rather than flowers?

I'll be back online and bugging all y'all in a couple weeks' time, but for the moment, I am Unix's biatch. Ow. My head.
