    force xp into 640x480?

I'd like to force XP into 640x480 (won't let me go below 800x600).. an (admittedly brief) forum search didn't turn up anything..

anyone got something? i thought there was a line in the registry you could change but I can't find it.

I REALLY hate that. The instant I took my M10000 off 640x480 it took it away from me... stupid Microsoft.

what jinks said. Once you're in the settings tab, click advanced, and then under the adapter tab, click list all modes.

    the ******* response:
search, it's been asked here, and is maybe the 2nd hit on google.

yeah, got it, thanks a bunch.. didnt help though. made it more readable but killed the GPS program visually... anyone have any ideas on making a composite LCD show better? i made the fonts extra large, that helps with the OS, but not any of the application programs.

Realistaically if you're gonna use GPS you're gonna need VGA. Composite is fine for MP3, eye candy etc, but for real visual stuff you need VGA.

Car changed for TVR Griffith 500, so computer de-installed. Using a Dension 100ix w/60Gb HD unit in the interim.

yeah i've noticed that. i can get it to work, functionally.. meaning i can decipher whats written on the screen, but it takes some doing.. i'm definitely looking into a vga screen.. but like i said, i dont want to re-lay cable hehe.
