Thread: Automatic Remote playlist Updating

there's no err file...

OK, if there is no err file it means one of two things.

1. you have an old version, ie pre 1.03

or

2. there are no errors encounted.

if it is 1. then update to a newer version.


if it is 2. then the only other question I have for you is

Are all the files in the root directory of the path you have specified (ie no subfolders). The old versions didn't copy files in the root directory, the version I am currently working on does.

This is the problem:
it works if I set the root of the usb pen as remote path, doing so it does copy everything is on the pen to local path...

...but you said you've got a version which work with every path??
...if so...could I download that version..??

Anyway...WOOOOW it's really cool (...waiting for a cooler skinnable version! )

that's the one I am working on, it's also skinnable.

The main code is done for the copying, including an option to specify certain extensions only, (ie you can set it to just copy mp3 and jpgs only or whatever extensions you want), it will also copy files if the source file is newer than the destination file and also up to 20 different source and destinations.

The skining of the main app is done, it is just the config and the path screens I need to write.


so a week or so for an alpha version (I code very slowly)

nothing about auto safetly remove usb pen at transfer ending?
(If I can be usefull with skin...just say...)

Oh forgot to mention it now automatically detects the insertion of a USB device and starts going through the copy process.

And I did look into the safely remove pen bit, but couldn't find anything that was suitable, however during my search I found a lot of discussion on this and most of the consensus was that there is no danger in just removing the device.

However I will keep looking for something that will do it.
