nice gadget.
when I have a second screen in the headreat for the kiddie, that will do nicely.
Oh as to the rant, write your own software![]()
Was browsing the net as normal and came accross this new little gem
http://www.iwoot.com/PCDITV_ELEC.htm
Additionally if you have never seen iwoot before it is full of wonderful treats, and yes they deliver to the uk and US etc.
I was wondering, considering there are more and more devices like this popping up for radio and tv etc, how can we get more support and/or integration to the carputer software that is being produced.
The number of carputer front ends, a dismal 4 half decent ones, seems a bit low, and if we are limited for choice like this how are we going to get all of our wants and requests into ONE software package.
In the long run we are going to end up with several front ends that contain different "features" or "integration and support" but will need to use them all to get it all. We need one unified software.
There is a lot of knowledge, experience, development etc behind all of the software being produced, but why on earth do the producers not collaborate to create a unified program, in closed or open source format, and let this thing flourish!!!
Sorry, I will end my ranting now, i only really wanted to post the cool digital tv and radio thingie and ask if anyone will put support in their software.

Ah it was nothing more than a rant LOL :-)
I know bits about software writing but no where near enough. my hat goes off to all the people whos hard work has produced what we have, maybe a change of direction is in order, but I bow down to the kings who have produced what we have already, if it wasnt for them we would still be running winamp in BIG mode :-)
however if anyone ever needs interface design, get in touch. You'll find my site www.matchboxmedia.com has all the contact info, and no i am not going to charge you LOL i dont mind doing some stuff for nothing if its for the carputer community software effort :-)
