Here's a rough layout I'm working on.
The top portion is collapsable. The middle porttion will be the PL/ML/EQ and maybe VIS too. I wanted to do this with the original winamp3 skin, but winamp3 had issues with the pl in the main window.
Colors will be changable from within winamp like the default winamp5 skin. (Again, this didn't work in winamp3, some stuff couldn't be changed on the fly)
winamp5 doesn't use the thinger as far as I know, so no misaligned buttons anymore.
Any thing else you guys would like to see? After using the old skin for a while, was there anything that frustrated you? What worked really well?
is it possible to do anything like what media engine does with "browse by artist, browse by Album, or browse by directory" type of thing with the media library? I see the media library link you have, but with the normal winamp5 skins, the buttons to choose 'browse by artist" are way too small for us touchscreeners.

Maybe sometime in the future I could write a custom library browser like Foobar2000's (which is awesome) but for starters it will be using the standard winamp5 media library. It may be customizable, but I haven't read up on it yet.
I was afraid of that... every skin I've tried (which has been many) has the same small media library. Oh well, doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks

ONly problem with the winamp 3 skin was the SMALL *** FONT! I know wimamp 5 lets you change the font, just hope that will be encorporated in your new skin. I'm running a 7" composite screen right now. Everything was great, but the inability to read the songs on the playlist. What about video? I use winamp to play divx and music videos too, and I like the way the old skin worked for that...
Bottom line, main problem with the old skin was the small font, but So far the new skin looks awsome. I like the new high contrast version better myself. Thanks!!!
Ohhh...what about the advancing song bar? Dont look like you have a way to advance the song on the new version.....Unless i'm dumb and can't see it...
Can we get rid of the description of what mhz the song is and what bitrate. I personally don't care for that info and it takes up valuable space.
looks great... i like the high contrast with the minimizer part on the new skin... i like the dim feature too from the old skin. maybe a vis button too?
would you mind releasing the second skin with the info collapsed? i know it probably has some bugs but im desperate!
It's just a photoshop mockup for now, doesn't exist as a skin yet.
