    margi dvd-to-go compatible player

any other dvd playback software support the margi card other than the player that shipped with margi? the buttons are rather small (and it doesnt integrate with mediacar at all :P).

I tried both WinDVD and PowerDVD... and no acceleration from the Margi card.

From what I've read online, it's player uses the .dll's it needs to redirect
    the video to the card....

But I could find no hacks or more up-to-date software that utilized the hardware acceleration.

The only player I can get to display the aspect ratio right is WinDVD.
All other apps seem to distort it due to the screen size of the lilliput.

But with WinDVD my laptop is at 96 to 100% cpu.. with Margi card its at 4%!!

If you find something... post it.. PLEASE!

Original DVD:s and right region without any hacks... All dvds i tried so far...
Maybe some early dvd:s will work before macrovision but dunno...
Just dont get it... I bought that laptop second handed and dvd drive and margi was already bundled there so i suppose it must work.

just a thought, and this shouldnt be necessary, but perhaps if you install anyDVD which decrypts the DVD on the fly. I think it might remove macrovision as well. theres a demo version available at:

just checked the feature list, it does remove macrovision, however it's asking for a 500mhz machine which it sounds like you don't have. i also dont know if it will insert itself between the player and the margi driver... probably not. the more i think about it, i dont think this will work.
