winamp question

Ok, got a small winamp question.

Whenever the song changes winamp (on my desktop pc) shows the song title info in a little small window at the bottom of the screen. This happens at home and at work, and for the life of me i cant find the option to turn this off. It doesnt do this in my car, where i would actually want it to happen, but at work it screws with 3d apps so for the short seconds its showing the song title, i my 3d viewports turn to ****. really annoying.

no one uses winamp? Somebody has to know what im talking about.
If you use msn messenger its just like the little window that pops up when someone on your contact list signs in, but in winamp it shows the song title.

I think what he's referring to is those little popup windows on the taskbars that pops up on certain applications...Like IM, spam inspector, apparently winamp X.

Say, what version of winamp R u using? Have you disable winampagent? I know that gets loaded onto the taskbar. I always disable mines so I don't know if that's the cause of it...I'll have to try it out later.

I've only ever seen that on Windows Media Player running minimized. Are you sure you're talking about winamp?

Otherwise I'd be almost certain that you downloaded a plugin that does what you're talking about. In that case, the winamp install in your car probably does not have that plugin installed.

V. 5.x
Options>Preferences>General Preferences
Now make sure to check "Show Winamp in: Taskbar" and "Scroll title in the Windows taskbar"

V. 2.9x
Options>Preferences>Display
Check "Scroll song title in the windows taskbar" and make sure you have show winamp in: taskbar only or taskbar and system tray.

Honestly I don't see how anyone can miss it...winamp only has one setup menu and its pretty straightforward.

After rereading the post i think this is what you want. I believe this is only for winamp5 modern skins
