    Red face Picture Viewer (for developers)

    Hi folks,

    got a picture viewer for you.
    It's nothing special ... basically the same frodo did... except it's completely .NET
    This means, that you have to install the .NET 1.1 runtime (which you already have, if your a PhoCo user).

    For all those of you who are looking for some samples how to write .NET applications I've releasing the source code as well. I've put as many comments into the source, so it should be easy to step trough.

    To configure it, take a look into PicViewer.NET.Config.xml... i think it's mostly self explaining.

    PicViewer.NET

    BTW: I'm not gonna support it... you have the source code... do it yourself

    I'm getting a error message each time I try to start it...

    "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

    Process id=0x610 (1552), Thread id=0x598 (1432)"

    Install PhoneControl first and try it again

    Usually, there has to be a setup to apply the access rights...

    <edit>
    Forgot to mention this:

    Copy the Microsoft.DirectX.*.dll from the PhoneControl directory to the PicViewer directory... then it's supposed to work

    </edit>

    I beefed it up a bit...
    • If you now plug in a new media (let's say a memory stick, MMC/SD Card), the app will recognize it and start a slide show automatically, in case the device has some pics on it.
    • A path to pictures now can be applied as a command line parameter... with that you may configure various directories.
    • Each given path will be browsed and if it contains subdirectories with pictures, you'll get a listbox to select one of them.

    And... I've put the missing DLLs into the ZIP file

    It is a great little APP but why is it sooo slow? I mean the buttons.. Could you change that so they just dissapear instead of slide out?
