    Sorry guys, haven't been around the forums yesterday...

    Stevieg are you saying have an additional table to pull values for selection boxes etc for options for people to choose? You could just do that hardcoded in PHP, wouldn't be hard to make an extra language if one comes out or something...or have a box for other. Message me on AIM at gr4yscale.

    Frodo, easy there We don't get down and coding as fast as you...some of us have LIVES! rofl
    CarPC install is starting to come along again...

    Haven't got AIM tho on MSN msg though;

    I'm not telling you how to code, however is easiest for you

    I usually use relationships between tables to save the amount of data stored in the DB (using INNER JOIN to link), and to make it easy to generate select boxes on the fly; storing just the ID in the main data table etc - the kind of apps I make at work users would admin the back end via another web application so that kind of stuff is essential - and with this being open source I was thinking that perhaps we might mirror the DB to a couple of other sites just in case one of us dissappears of the face fo the planet.

    But feel free to do it how you wish - there isnt any wrong way as you're right it would take 3 secs to manaully add or if you haven't time I will do it and release source for you to look over and tell me where I could have done better

    /Shrug I'll do something tonight if you people will tell me what values we need...
    Such as what programming languages to include in the select box? Or should i just make it so you can type it in...I mean this is a simple DB, no need to get fancy

    I would let them type it in. But make sure they enter something, do
    not allow it to be blank.

    If they type it in then it's harder to search by language (or filter) - what about a select box or 'other' and if they choose other have to enter the language; once entered it is added to the database.

    Licenses available at:

    http://www.opensource.org/licenses/

    EDIT removed big list as wastes space

    If you want I will make a CSV list or SQL insert whichever you prefer with license name and URL link to license to make it easy to import, save you typing/writing a script to extract em
