Whats special about it, the website isn't very informative. i.e. why would I use this that's like FreeBSD when I could get FreeBSD for the same price.

Can we see your site so we can get an idea of how its supposed to look? and I know the website is not very informative I told him about it. Been playing City of Heros. As for what can it do any why is it special. Well its special to me and it can do whatever you know you can do ***. I posted in general off topic but it doesnt show up on home page so I posted in software and development. Just need some input thanks for the input we will get to work.

I must agree the website lacks information. Things like what is the OS, what are the specs.

Of all the OSes available to me, why in hell should I choose somethign that have 0 documentation and 0 features off something that I know works and give me what I want.

just my opinion, but I will not install a software without even knowing what its supposed to be able to do.

    SkippyOS Information

Ok SkippyOS is a Linux based on linux from scratch using the same ideas as LinuxSTEP which was disbanned long ago. This is a bootable usable system, that has a directory structure close to MacOSX using symlinks to the default file system hidden with a tool called 'hidesystem' in SkippyOS which in fact it is GoboHide from the creators of GoboLinux. The design of the system is based around the ideas of making a clean directory structure for desktop usage in hopes one day to have a desktop based on the ideas of GNUStep or Rox, or simular to have a program and libraries linked into a folder so you can easily delete the application simular how you would on MacOSX. Any other questions? Screenshots are here. http://www.skinnykid.com/screenshots.htm

i don't think that a car computer really needs to have a special directory structure. i'm just saying that i don't think it will work well with what we've already got going on. in order to install a system like that would take forever to get dependency after dependency to try to get everything working like it should. most people here want a fast simple solution where its easy to install your software and get going. i can tell you right now that this would not be an easy install if its based off of LFS. the reason i asked about the things it has to offer is because of this. if it offered an easy installer etc, some may be interested. but no, i do not take back my comment on the site...please please do some work on that
CarPC install is starting to come along again...
