Question Any one in the mood to inform me on the best software to use for my first carputer?

Hey, I was just hoping that someone could maybe take the time to list the best combination of carputer software. I have been reading up on all the various programs but its hard for me to pick which ones I should go with for my new carPC. If you guys could help me out it would be much appreciated.
Just an FYI. I have not built the computer yet, all I have so far is one of the two XENARC 7"TSV's and an OPUS 150W PS. Another FYI..One of the XENARC's is going to be dedicated to GPS. I will list what I am looking for in the programs and maybe you experts could replay with what you think will fill me want list thankyou thankyou thankyou

The main program "Media Browser, Media Engine?"-
    - I want the main program to be customizable to the point where I can just have that running all the time on the media screen. I want to be able to reach all the desired applications right from that interface.
-I am planning on doing a full BMW skin for the program.(I have seen the ones out there but I want a more personalized one + I am a graphic designer so I am looking forward to the project)
-Is there any way to have animated menu's in these programs? My dream would be to design a full 3D animated user interface with things constantly moving.
-It would also be great if I could use voice commands to go through the menu's.
-Damn I know there is more stuff..hmmm

    The GPS program-
-I want the GPS software to have very detailed maps
-I want voice commands(The computer tells me "Turn left here")
-It would kick *** if it also said the street names to turn onto.
-I want it to be able to re-direct me if I miss a turn because I drive like a madman
-I want every cop car to show up on the GPS screen and give me a warning when there is one within a mile of me( I wish)
-Cant think of more stuff right now(Damn its hard to think when my boss keeps walking by me)

    Phone Control-
-There is only one Phone Control program correct? This program looks baddass I just wish I could get it to start up!?!
-I would like to have a button to this program in the main media browser interface, is this possible?

    PC XM radio-
-I want it to be speedy while going through channels
-I want it to have a clean looking interface that I can also link into the media browser interface.

    PC radio tuner-
-Same as the “wants” for XM radio

-Whatever else I need to play DVD’s, MP3’s, DIVX, etc..

Thanks for any input guys. Maybe this can be a thread that is a one stop deal for people getting into their first carputer project.

What makes Frodoplayer better then the others?

How do you like the Earthmate and Copiliot7 programs?

Does your opus have any problems giving enough power to that bad boy?

    Thanks

I haven't tried any of the othe software but I tried frodo first and it was so simple to set up and use that I really would suggest you try it out.

Frodoplayer development is really active and the resulting software is very solid. It is configurable, skinnable and very flexible. Frodo has added DVD playing and video viewing software too. Support is good and has great user feedback and involvement.

The Earthmate works well, I really like CoPilot but I'm not sure I'd pay $350 for it. I got it for $100 as a competitor upgrade (I had an old copy of Street Atlas lying about). It has audible directions, is very clear and easy to use. I haven't installed the drivers to get the Earthmate working with Copilot yet. Just got it, I have been using SA 2004 for now.

My only problem with the opus at the moment is that it wont turn the PC on. There is a minor incompatibility problem with my specific mobo, but which you can apparently avoid by telling opus you have that mobo first. It easily provides enough juice for the mobo, full size DVD and a 3.5" HDD. It also powers my SB Audigy USB.
