    Next Song with WMP Control

    Any ideas on the best way to detect when the song "a" ends so you can tell WMP to play "b" next? Capture an event or que up the next song?

    Thanks

    Code:
    Private Sub wmp_PlayStateChange(ByVal NewState As Long)

        If NewState = 8 Then
            tmrNext.Enabled = True
        End If

    End Sub

    Heh - it seems everyone (including me) gets stuck on this bit... I think mainly because the WMP control pretty much sucks....

    I'm playing with MediaCar at the moment, and it's pretty good. Winamp seems to give you a *lot* more control over it's running environment, scripting, and feedback - as well as a well published and trialed API.

    I started using WMP for Cajun-4-Win simply because it was what I had used before - but after playing with a few apps, there's a lot of stuff I like, and a lot of stuff I dislike with the various apps... I'm thinking of restarting from stage 1 with a better idea of what I want, and using Winamp instead of WMP...

    You know i was thinking that it would be really nice to have some sort of program that allow you to adjust volumes and bands in Frodoplayer. That is one thing that i miss now that i don't use Media Car anymore.

    Is this sort of thing possible? Would it need some external program?

    Just some thoughts

    Volumes easy...

    Theres no way to use the equalizer in wmp through programming though. The only way to do it would be to install a directshow filter and implement your own equalization routines in it, then somehow get it inserted into the wmp filtergraph. It can be done, but it will be very complicated and ugly regardless of how it is done.

    Thanks frodobaggins.

    Some sound cards have a basic bass and treble controls in Windows. I believe you can hook into those controls. I've read rumors that some drivers for the Epia board let you adjust these.
