Speedometer software

I saw it somewhere in the threads: someone talking about using the GPS software to display a virtual speedo. My display is in my cluster, so it is better hidden from view and to see it better on sunny days (no window tint legal in PA).
Ofcourse now I'm blocking my speedo and tach (at the once a year inspection time, I just temporarily remove it)
I don't care about not seeing the tach, currently I go through my Delorme GPS to see my vehicle speed. But I wonder if anyone has made software, using the GPS for vehicle speed. No OBDII, as mine is a 1995 model year.
I could display my music software on the left (Frodo) and display a speedo on the right.
Could anyone write me this stuff? I know nothing about doing that.

I'm implementing this into AIMEE (as I type this actually)

It will either be direct from the GPS receiver if you have no software, or using the values provided by the GPS software which is embedded into AIMEE (which will also give you the advantage of being able to get your routing implemented very nicely ;))

Will it have the alpine skins as the video showed?:)

What about Teletype GPS software?

Yes, the Alpine skin will be supported (hopefully) at launch, i'm in touch with More Mods regarding that :)

I'm also aiming to have TeleType GPS implemented also, I have the SDK for it and will be looking at it soon :)

I reckon about 3 months away.

Could be before, could be after, depends on how well the coding/bug testing goes :)

Of course I will aim for as soon as possible, but I'd rather set a later "release date" and get there early, rather than set an optomistic release date and miss it :) As for beta testers, I'm sure that will come soon enough ;)
