    That looks to me to say they won't sell them anymore, but will still broadcast to them....for now anyway...anybody disagree?

    They will continue "service" regardless, but no more XM PCR hardware units. It's officially discontinued.

    it says in that news release that the automotive industry makes up more than half of there subscribers...they will have a tough time discontinuing a product that so many manufacturers relying upon it...(xmDirect or Comander)...that is if we are succesfull in making an interface....does anyone on the forum have a commander tuner they would consider donating for a short while to have us make the interface for carPC's.....if not I will have to purchase one...unfortunately we can not buy just the xmDirect yet...(available 9/20) I think with all the great programmers and hardware people we have here on this site....we can do this real easy.

    Yeah I will be down with the new Xm direct as long as I can have on-screen control. But it sounds so far like that will be a PITA.

    If I get one off eBay, would I be able to get the digital/optical interface kit from somewher or that is out of the question.
