Just wondering, If I am too lazy to get hte PC out, and hook up a floppy, (its bolted up under the dash and takes around 3 hours to get it out) Or a usb floppy (dont have one) Can I burn the files onto a CD and use a bootable CD?

Just finished making a bootable CD with the utility and FORD.BIN file on it, and put it in the car, booted successfully, and ran the utility. because the drive your working from (the cd) is write protected, you cant save the old bios file, if you try, it stops with write protect error and you have to reboot. But if you dont, the flash utility works fine. I flashed it, and now I have the FORD logo......

I think the flash utility will ask you if you want to back it up before you try to flash the new bios.
can someone post a link to the m10000 bios? I don't see it on epia's site?
so u r saying if i don't have a bios updade on hand and all i want is change the logo, all i have to do is use a flash utility to back up my bios to disk and change the logo, save it, then flash it with new bios?Quote:
