hm seems to bee a nice effect ever thought of using direct3d for the interface?? ther you can do glowing effects and so on. Ok i dunno how hard d3d programming is but as i heared from a collegue it isnt that hard but i never tried it. And if dont se a super extre stylish 3d environment with few polygons it wuldnt put down the performance even of an older pc

I've used 3D programs before, and they're not that hard if you really stick at it. Direct 3D might look nice, but it won't control VB.
The reason for using Flash is two-fold:

    a) It can be integrated into VB with relative ease. VB allows Flash output commands to target it directly as you can set it to specifically use Flash controls.
    b) I've used Flash before

At the moment this is purely a research and experiment exercise. Any flash release is waaaay off for the moment....

I can't wait. I've been wanting to use a Flash interface since I got started. I know Flash and will start on a skin when this thing is ready.

Well this thing is just a demo. At the moment I'm trying to replicate a skin I've already made for A.I.M.E.E. and it's an absolute cinch! So damn easy to replicate buttons when you're using instances - change one button and you change them all! And the file sizes are really small - for one bitmap skin you could get several editable flash source files for the same size!

    Hey all,

I am an experience Flash coder and in fact I teach Flash a a few different schools. What I teach is maining coding, incldding a few Flash game classes.

Let me know if you would like some help on the Flash side of things. I don't know VB too well, but I have purchased a book on it so I could start doing what you gents are doing. I just haven't had the time to learn VB yet.

PM me if you would like some help.
