    Home Entertainment Computer

Me and my girlfriend are about to move to our first own apartment, that means that I'll not spend as much time in my car as I do now. So maybe I put my HU back and build me a Home Entertainment computer instead of the carputer. Do you guys know of any forum for this purpose? I guess there must be somewhere. Tips on software to use (I know I still can use FrodoPlayer, but I wanna chcech the alternatives)?

Was just there a few minutes ago. They have nice review of Meedio. Meedio's site is experiencing a lot of traffic right now so I can't look at their page...

I think Meedio is now the commercial version of the free MYHTPC, if you look in their download area I think you can still get the free version to trial.

yeah, you're right. Meedio is the commercial version of myHTPC.

From what I've seen of it, it looks to be well worth the price.

Try MediaPortal for a promising open source project, or if your interested in DVB broadcasting you could try ShowShifter

Or for info you can try HTPC News

don't forget www.CocoonTech.com ! As for software, check out xlobby (xlobby.com), another free htpc frontend which is maturing pretty fast.
