Yeh, but the problem is that you're still not going to get the proper temperature set and you can't know what setting the CC is at

[Edit]: Problem is that the electonic ones have build in logic. So the face of my CC has a huge PCB behind that determines the speed to set fans at when the unit is on auto, etc... any my car's a 95'!

lol. thats pretty bad. the only thing "electronic" in our '96 windstar is the radio and its nothing spectacular (basic digital am/fm receiver with tape deck). the hvac system is all analog.

but being a lexus, its to be expected i guess.

    Yeh

I would love to have a computer controlled climate system, but I'd need to figure out what the CC unit is sending out. Basically I COULD write the software to control the climate, but I'd need to know what mode everything is on, etc, and I don't know how. Maybe someone would like to chime in?

I don't know what you want exaclty to do, but since you don't have clima you can have a temp sensor... You will have to know at what degrees the servo is at cold, colder, hot etc... And the write the soft according to temp readings!!!

I have clima, but I will definately change some features I don't like!!! I've already changed some!!

Yeh, that's what I was thinking. But I have no idea how a Lexus communicates between the AC and the CC
