Disable "found new device" (in XP)

You know how in XP it will show and install a new device the you plugged in?
In my case that's a bluetooth dongle. I don't want xp to automaticly install it (thru "found new device") because it is messing up the dongle software (which I need installed) How do I disabel this "auto-find" ?

I think you're referring to "Plug-N-Play". Install the driver and software first and then plug it in. If this isn't an option and you still want to disable it, you can disable it through your system bios.

Control panel -> admin tools -> services
You can turn off plug n play from there, but it may present problems with some devices, including many video card, so I would try another solution if possible.
