Epia Hibernation w/ Windows 98 Not Available

I can't get the hibernate tab to appear in power options on my system running 98se and an epia M-9000. in the device manager all the acpi devices seem to be listed. acpi is enabled in the bios. any thoughts?

Yuk, WinDOS 98... well, if you insist...

Are all the drivers installed correctly for the motherboard, is ACPI functions all enabled in the BIOS, have you tried removing the ACPI components and letting windows re-detect them; have you though about using a NT platform OS such as 2K/XP

Haha i've never had a problem with win98 and it does everything i want ... except this. anyway, i'll try that removing the acpi components and letting windows reinstall them but yeah everything has been enabled in the bios since the beginning.

Have a read of these, have a few good points in terms of what is required for hibernation to work..

Make sure you have all updated drivers. In XP I had and issue with hibernate until I updated all drivers.

Windows 98 does not support hibernate!!! Some notebooks with Win98 had special bioses and drivers that did support it, but Windows itself does not.
