I'll have to give it a try this afternoon and see what I think about it. It does look nice from the little description they have on the site. Is there anything that makes it stand out from the rest of the great software that we already have here?

i tried it out last week, pretty good - the only problem is that you cant Embedd any GPS other then that it would be a good carPC front end
Nice setup and very touchscreen friendly
Hi all-
I've actually been using Xlobby for quite sometime now, but as my htpc frontend. I can honestly say that steven is an awesome developer and listens to his users requests for things. One of the main features of xlobby is its' skine engine, which once mastered, allows you to do prettymuch whatever you can think of. For use in a carpc though it current "out of the box" features can't be beat- image having 3 lcd screens in your carpc, and allowing each one to have it's own headphone jack, which can (in theory) have its own music zone -> allowing each person to listen to something different. That's in theory using the multizone audio setups that xlobby has built in. See- awesome. The only problem is the lack of features in terms of gps and the like it seems steven has no real drive to add support. Alnother user on the board at one point wanted to do what I have started to do, and what most of you have done- build a carpc. He approached steven with requests for gps support and steven pretty much told him he had other things to do in xlobby before he did that. But thanked into consideration, thats not to bad of a decision. Xlobby is a front end. There is no built in music player(it uses winamp or the like), no built in movie player (uses wmp, zoomplayer, or the like) - it is strickly what it says it is- a frontend. But that being said, stevne has gone to great lengths to make xlobby integrate with all the programs that help make it "whole" by adding plugin support. So it boils down to if someone wants to program something for xlobby for gps stuff, we're outta luck. I was planning on get destinator and having xlobby launch it as a 3rd party program (which is does just fine). Hope I shed some light on the mystery called xlobby. Good luck!

ps- I'm planning on running xlobby on my carpc, I've even started porting a few skins from other carpc programs over, and plan to start my own at some point.
Xlobby definitely has a lot of potential, if it could support external apps and stay out of focus, etc ... then that might do for now. Another great option is NetRemote, works pretty well too, but is no longer free.
