If anyone would provide me with a list of descriptions I would gladly add it, but I haven't got the time to click on all links and read what they're about...
Most names speak for themselves already, but be my guest![]()
To help myself and others, I created a list of available software, without much comment.
This way, everybody can test for themselves, but at least we will know what to test/compare.
I will keep this first post updated... please provide links to homepages too.

Good day...
LOL... that is some of the worst translation I have ever seen. Don't get me wrong, it's a hell of a lot better than my Deutsch, I just found it very funny.
Yes, i know.![]()
The most is from the google translation.
But, when you have fun...![]()
I search for somebody, who correct the bugs in the ShowGPS translation-file and Homepage... -> PM
I found RoadNav useful.

Here is a brand new on for your list.
It's still very much a work in progress, but I'm writing a brand new front end for OBD-II communications and display. It's called JDash. At present, it only supports Subaru Select Protocol, but I'm planning an ELM module also. Why another OBD interface? 100% skinnable and it's cross platform too. When it's all said and done, this software "should" be able to display info for any OBD vehicle.

You mean OBD2 vehicle right? I have a '91 3000GT that uses OBD-1. I made a OBD-to-Serial cable myself. The only software I know of that works with it is TechnoMotive Datalogger. There is however a sourceforge project that lists all the serial commands, but I have never gotten around to making my own OBD software. If you know of any other program for my Car (or if you could add support for it to your program) I would love to hear about it! Thanks.
PS: Please start your own thread and post a link to it here. (or PM me)
PPS: I'll just post on your own forum for now.
You could add Freeway if you'd like![]()
Actually, at the moment, the JDash software only supports the SSP protocol for Subaru cars. But, I'm designing it to be very modular. It will be very easy to add OBD-II or OBD. And for that matter, any other protocol needed or wanted. After I get the SSP working the way I want it, I'm going to try and get OBD-II working through an ELM interface. The catch is, I don't have an ELM module, so I might have to find someone else to write the OBD-II module. Should be pretty easy. The same holds true for the older OBD stuff.
