Thread: Skinning Questions with VB6

I haven't used frodoskinner, but those small "units" are twips. They actually vary
sometimes with monitors. (Most of the times it's 15)

If you are using a scalemode of twips, you can convert twips to pixels by
dividing the width or height of an object by screen.twipsperpixel(X or Y)

Only been working on tis for 2 weeks and i need to come upu with a way to skin this thign before i get even more lines ill have to change later to work for skinning. How woudl i go about setting a forom up to use the smaller numbers frodoskinner creates?

post me an example of the numbers.

When i use Twips it puts all the buttons on top of each other....
When i use user and play with the scale settings i can eventually get it to align but that is after playing with decimal points for hours... "Not somthing economical"

That's percentage.

Say you have a form.
(Based off percentages of the size of the parent.)
You want an object 50% from the left, 27% from the top, and 10% width and height.

it would be:

OBJECT_LEFT=50
OBJECT_TOP=27
OBJECT_WIDTH=10
OBJECT_HEIGHT=10

then to place the object...

object.left = parent.width * ("OBJECT_LEFT"/100)
object.top = parent.height * ("OBJECT_TOP"/100)
object.width = parent.width * ("OBJECT_WIDTH"/100)
object.height = parent.height * ("OBJECT_HEIGHT"/100)
